18 Apr The weak link in your reputation

The power of reputation is no stranger to any leader, and neither is its delicacy. Companies that don’t invest in protecting their reputation soon face the loss of it. But you can take all the measures in the world within your walls and still be left open to damage – because you are not an island.
There is always a network, a web of dependencies that supports your business. If they don’t have the same levels of resilience as yourself, then in an emergency your supply chain can be broken and your customers will suffer.
This is why it’s important to scenario plan for both Asset Resilience within your business and Supply Chain Resilience with your partners. Don’t leave your reputation in the hands of someone else – put in the time and resources to get to know how your partners will function in an emergency and find out if there is anything you can do to enhance their resilience.
If you want to know that your reputation is safe, don’t think only of your own link – strengthen the whole chain.
